I’m looking for the front cross-member (runs under the engine and connects to the LCA’s, usually thrown away with the van or when doing 4x4 conversion) with mounting bolts. I believe they are universal from 77-88 but may be inaccurate.

Closer to Vegas would be better as it is a heavy SOB and hoping I can drive to get it.

PM or post.
Thanks.

You do know you can search GMC 3500 ft cross member parts also ... Direct fit !

I would bet a nickle that a RV yard would have your part. They used 1 ton vans to make motor homes

Thanks for the idea. I drove to an RV salvage a ways away. They had two, one from a G30 RV with the motor gone and 1 from a GMC 3500 1 ton pickup also with the motor gone.

I took pics to compare to mine. I can not see one difference. Is it that minor? Or is it possible the hi top RV conversions got the 1 Ton suspension?

Thanks for the tip. Saved me a lot of time and hassle.

the actual crossmember is the same on a G10-20-30, I believe. its the Upper Control arms and Lower Control arms (and the attaching components) that differ.

I don’t have time to research for the threads again at the moment but I read here on vannings in a couple places that the ears on the crossmember were different. Either way, I’m happy; As in the other thread, I found some really nice 3/4ton LCA’s from a conversion with a front end collision (of which I believe he’s only keeping the drivetrain and scraping the rest).

I think I saw that too after I had posted it. IDK. I am just glad you found what you need!
