So my '87 G20 went from cargo to passenger/camping van. Fully insulated and carpeted top to bottom now. But no rear A/C or heat. Looking for options with pros/cons and ease of installation. Thanks.

I'd simply go roof vent like a Maxxair ($200) for cooling, and add a diesel heater ($160) for heat. You could likely get OEM parts in a junkyard for cheaper, but there's a lot of plumbing and wiring involved too.

I would get a rear heat/AC unit from a junked conversion van. You could probably find a Chevy conversion van and get everything you need, including the lines that go to the engine compartment.
