All I'm looking at is plpd until I can get to restoring. I just want it to be road legal. Any suggestions? Thanks Edit: Specifically, the insurance companies are flagging the conversion itself. My wife and I have clean records with good credit.

Maybe try a different insurance company? I've insured dozens of vehicles over the years sight unseen, and the insurance company could care less as long as I give them a VIN# and pay my bill.. I could see them maybe being picky for full coverage, but should be no issue for plpd.. | | | Re: Vanup insurance | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 | I love those. Always wanted one, but now maybe not...very strange they would not insure it.
I wonder if you just told them it was a Ford van, gave them the Ford VIN, and let it go at that? Or, ask the seller who he had insurance with? | | | Re: Vanup insurance | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 2,286 Likes: 153 veteran | veteran Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 2,286 Likes: 153 | "My Momma told me, you better shop around..."
Auto Club, AAA, is the absolute worst. Their fine print says they can put you in a room and be interrogated.
The Vin # on both my B Vans show as an incomplete Vehicle. That's a Code 3 right there. It's an incomplete vehicle, how can go down the road? Some computers won't take Xplorer, as a Vehicle manufacturer. Be aware that some people don't even know what a "Van," even is. Seriously. Be patient, and amazed at how ignorant some people are.
Just remember who you are dealing with. The Stupid is strong
