No sir, I've had this one for quite a while now. I was going to buy that grille off the 75 Beauville, but LOOKSLO beat me to it. I just need one for my front clip repurpose project. I have a line on a super hard to find custom tube grille and fiberglass headlight bezels though. Should be picking those up soon. Howard Furtack informed me of what they were, I knew they were hard to find, but hadn't seen any for sale. They will be perfect for that clip project.

As for ME....I am ALWAYS on the lookout. I have pulled and sold numerous ones from whatever junkyard finds I can locate. Mine isn't HORRIBLE, but I still plan on having it straightened, smoothed, and re-chromed. I am just apprehensive with it along with the bumpers that just because a shop can smooth and chrome one doesn't mean they can align and get the overall dimensions and attach points RIGHT. But I don't have the ability to spend $20k for it like a Kindig shop would want.

I'm always scoping them out, but usually short on funds when I find them. Hopefully grab some more stuff this summer.

OH BABY! First time down off the jackstands in about a year!

[Linked Image from media2.giphy.com]

So Mia and I got the transmission installed this morning and man that just made the rest of my day so much better. I've been dying to get over this hurdle for a long time, but with all the mess life has thrown at us, sometimes it didn't feel like it was ever going to happen. Jasmine was going to help, but she got carried away doing some house cleaning and lost track of time, when she realized Mia and I had already gotten it in. We have one bolt that doesn't want to tighten all the way down and I think it might be the torque converter binding against the flywheel, so we will loosen the bolts a little and see if we can shimmy things around a bit. At least the trans and crossmember are in though.

We were planning on working on it a bit more, but we had a couple friends drop by to help set the top half of Joe's two story playset/swings in place, then it started raining, so we called it a day. Another friend dropped by from about an hour away and dropped off a full set of the lug nuts and caps I was needing so I could put the new-to-me center caps on the Astro van, super stoked about that. Then my bud Jon and I went out to the best damn burger bar around and ate dinner with my son Joe (Goose). All around great day.

Mia enjoyed doing the trans install aside from one bump on the head, lol. I tried to tell her that transmission installs are a lot more fun when you can afford to have someone else do them, but she just laughed and said she still had fun. I had pestered her all morning about wearing her gloves, so she finally puts them on and immediately shouts "OH CRAP!" and yanked them off. She had a metal splinter inside one of the gloves and poked it into her finger. "SEE DAD! This is what I get for listening to you. Safety Second!" HA!

Anyway, enough boring chatter, here are a couple pics.

Now that we have the transmission in, I'm dying to get her fired up, but short on time as always with kids, spring, rain, chores, etc. I did get my exhaust manifold back from the welding shop today, broken studs removed. He had to use the old flame wrench on them, but said it wasn't too bad. I'll try to go to the parts house soon and get some new studs and two new U-joints. BUT, the Civic which is my only reliable daily at the moment just threw 7 codes, started missing, and says "Check Emission System" on the dash display. UGH!
