nope. I like my Chrome Cragar Nomads. LOL. I am sure the extra backspacing could help with the rubbing (I thing the late model factory steel wheels I previously replaced the 16.5" Turbines with were like 6" (EDIT: Looked it up, they were 5.6"BS), but I prefer the chrome and am not the biggest fan of late model wheels.

They definitely look good on there. Too bad the Turbines were 16.5's. Popular back in the day. Paint the background and polish the Fins, like we did with motorcycle cylinders! Yamaha Bog Bikes, Superhawks and Scramblers. Lol.
I still need a16 inch spare.

Yeah, My turbines are Keystones (16.5x8.25). My uncle put them on in the late 70's after he bought the van new. They stayed on the van until 16.5" tires were no longer an "easily accessible option." I was going to run them with a set of Firestone or Milestar 16.5" Radials, but decided against it after a lot of thought. They were badly discolored from the years of grime, so I blasted them and started polishing the fins on one of them...that was as far as I got before I packed them to move down here to SC and haven't touched them since. I wasn't sure if i was going to paint the backgrounds or leave them the way they always were. I was tempted to do Body color.

I have a factory late model steel 16" and one of my previous tires I need to mount on it to toss in as a spare, as the original 16.5" spare is still in the van. LOL.
