Thank you! I re-think this project all the time. I've put so much more time into planning the inside than I ever did on the rest.. The hard part is actually getting started lol.
My van had vintage swivels in it when I bought it. I'm going to keep those as they work great. The passenger side isn't a big issue, but since there is a stick shifter next to the driver's seat as well as the steering wheel, it is kind of a process to get it turned around. Move it a little, slide forward, spin it a little more, slide back, swivel a little more, lean the backrest forward... and so in. Worth it if you are parking or camping for an extended time though!
Also to note, I have ditched the idea if using the Saab Aero/Recaro seats I had mentioned before. There was too much wrong with them internally, and they are going to be a huge pain to get re-upholstered.. That, along with the size preventing them from being able to swivel, I have decided to use the leftover seats from my 1991 Toyota Cressida. They are in very good shape, and all power functions tested good the other night. They are a lot simpler design to upholster and should allow enough room to swivel..
Also hoping to pick up the supplies for the flooring, mini-bar, and headliner this week!
