Not having any success finding a source to replace the hard tube line that is configured to put on my 1979 Chevy Van G20, 350 motor. Local auto stores do not have access nor cross reference of same engine/year used on other lines/models. They want to sell a section of straight line with the fittings and you bent it to fit. As the 90 degree bend at the fuel pump connection is very short, a hand tube bender can't be used with the flair so close.  I have had no success, either on line.

Help is appreciated.

You just have to keep at it, you can go thru 2 lines before you get it right. Home depot sells a tubing bender for around 20 bucks, last time it was gray. Push the fitting at the flare and bend a 90, then bend it a little more with your thumbs. Aim for the back edge of the balancer, Then bend a 90 up at the edge of the balancer close enough to make you worry it will rub. There is just enough room to get a back to back bend. Then you want to figure on the offset bend getting the line to come up behind the pump inside just. Aww hell pm me your addsress I'll mail you one.

I've had plenty luck running rubber line from the pump to the carb in all my years on tons of trucks and cars. Put a brass nipple in the pump, run the hose to the carb, brass nipple in the carb. Just be VERY careful where you route the hose to keep it away from the manifolds or headers, and watch for possible pinch points. Never had a fuel leak related to the hose either. I did pop one of those glass filters once, but that was due to my poor mounting job and it bounced off the intake. DOH!
