I wouldnt run this off an inverter, The two campsites I go to more than any others have shore power so i'll keep it for that. Adding a 700w microwave too tomorrow
Last project: some kind of pump faucet sink., still thinking about that. I have run all that on a inverter. frig, microwave, 2 TV's. coffee pot, stereo, N lights. Took a couple days to charge the 3 house batts.

Kind of a bummer I was hoping to mount the inverter at the back of the van, and im SURE the wiring for the 12v cig lighter socket back there is not going to be sufficient. 93 Chevy G20 Explorer

Run 120v to distant appliances | | | Re: Regular fridge in a van? | Joined: Feb 2019 Posts: 80 journeyman | OP journeyman Joined: Feb 2019 Posts: 80 | Does the inverter have to be connected to the BATTERY'S negative terminal? Or would any van body ground do for the inverter? They should be the same thing, effectively right?

Frame body grouds need to be very clean and tight. And suspected first when the gremlins appear. | | | Re: Regular fridge in a van? | Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 1,015 Likes: 19 old hand | old hand Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 1,015 Likes: 19 | What are your thoughts on this unit? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DNNMY58/?coliid=I4FWEK6AE1K3K&colid=3GU00T7IVAH83&psc=0Of all of the 12 volt coolers/fridges that I've found, it seems like it would get colder and be more efficient than most of the others plus has some cool features, and it actually has pretty good reviews.. I'm probably going to jump on this unless Mr. wrcsixeight sees any red flags? One of the questions that is asked on Amazon is: Question: How many amps does this unit draw on DC power? Answer: 12V--3.75A, 24V--1.875A | | |
