Converting 1993 Chevrolet g20 van to LPG | Joined: Feb 2019 Posts: 8 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Feb 2019 Posts: 8 | I'm driving my Chevy G20 van on long road trips and I'm thinking about installing an LPG tank to cut down on fueling costs.
As I understand the tanks will take a lot of room. I'd like to hear from anyone who's done it. | | | Re: Converting 1993 Chevrolet g20 van to LPG | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 2,320 Likes: 156 veteran | veteran Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 2,320 Likes: 156 | Hi Torgunfu, Welcome to the site!
I worked for a shop that had a Ford with a propane conversion. I am unsure as to a propane install on a fuel injected vehicle. The propane feeds into the top of the carb. Ours was a dual fuel unit, gasoline, or propane. Tank was in the bed, and it is not small.

I'd love to see photos of a van with LPG conversion. I'm looking for them on the net but haven't found any so far. The tank takes so much room... I wonder if it is possible for it to be placed outside, under the floor.

Fitting required a little cutting to the strengthening plates that sit in the gap. Have a look on this thread for photos..... https://www.vanning.com/threads/ubb...rolet-g20-lpg-conversion.html#Post744898
