I own an 8-lug B250 (1994), but I'm seeing many 5-lug B250s. Does anyone know the differnce between front axles on the 5-lug vans vs. the 8-lug vans? (regardless of trim level)

I am looking for compatibility here, specifically if it is possible to use 8-lug rotors/bearings on knuckles originally meant for the 5-lug rotors/bearings.

The Dodge OE knuckle part number covers both the B150 and B250 knuckle (OE 52058415), but does not specify how many lugs the van came equipped with. Interestingly, the B350 knuckle has four different OE part #s.

One consideration would be rotor diameter, the 5-lugs are listed as 11.75" whereas the 8-lugs are listed as 12.82", but I'll figure out the caliper mounting after determining which rotors fit on which knuckles, as I may be using aftermarket calipers anyway.

Heavier springs for sure!! Check part numbers for the inner and outer bearings to see the INNER diameter size of both B150&250 bearings, if the same, should work?. Caliper brackets from a B150 may just bolt up also.

After a good bit of part number cross referencing, I find that there are two front axles listed for 94-03 B-series vans, a 3.3k and a 4k. The 3.3k axle has both 5-lug and 8-lug options, and most importantly, both ride on the same spindle/knuckle (OE p/n Left-52058415 & Right-52058414) AND use the same brake caliper mount (OE p/n 3699992). Since my '94 B250 is listed as having the 3.3k front axles, I'll be running on the assumption that 3.3k 8-lug rotors can slide onto the Dakota drop spindles. I'll report back if any fitment issues arise.
