93 Chevy G20

What type of differential is this? And anyone recommend gear oil? I'm doing the axle seal this weekend and want to change it while im there

leaning towards 75w-90

A GL-5 rated 80w90 should be fine for open diff gears. IMO. You can buy the 75w90 as well, a little extra insurance.
Don't buy the store brand ........ eek

I just changed the rear diff fluid on an 04 Tahoe, used Valvoline 75w90. They make some hi-tech fluids now that are more expensive, and if I didn't have 200,000 miles on the vehicle, I may of went with one of them brands.

Do you have your owner manual lister? I'd stick with the manufacturer's recommendation myself.
