Anybody ever convert their 2 pc to a single?

Bought mine with a 2 pc, carrier bearing rubber was shot so took it out and had it replaced along with u joints and rebalanced.

Doesn’t vibrate as bad but still there I’m owing to driveline angle issues with the two piece.

Haven’t checked rear end angle and trans angle to compare the two angles and how they would work with a single yet.

Is it lifted ? You may need to tilt the rear diff to correct the unwanted angle .... the rear diff must be within 4 deg of the tranny angle so the drive shaft wont bind N blow your U joints apart.

You may check your rear trans mount N motor mounts for vibration..

Both of my vans have a 2 pc drive shaft. One has been off roadin for decades, the other can take out Mustangs on the street... with 2 pc...... you have other issues other than the 2 pc drive shaft.

You prob have the vibration just don't notice it.

My source says within 1/2 degree but you can use whatever you want.
