We've had a few ten cent swings in the price here, we were back down to $1.73. "Let's go Lower now!" "How low, can you go!" The least I paid on my recent trip to Cali, was $1.99 in El Paso, at an Arco station.
Maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture, but is Cali paying 33% higher taxes on gasoline than the rest of the U.S.? I had other reasons for leaving, but no way was I gonna stay and pay $4.00 a gallon. No way. And that was 5 years ago. Before Cali even raised the taxes on fuel. Cross into Cali from Yuma, yup $1.00 more a gallon. Ridiculous.
