I don’t recall if I posted on this before or not, but my job is one of the hardest, and most rewarding jobs out there. For the last 19yrs (can I retire now?) I have been a stay at home dad for a pair of autistic daughters, ages 19 and 15 now....I drive them to and from school, doctors appointments, shopping, etc. plus I clean house, do the cooking, and that kind of stuff too.... it gets hectic, the pay sucks, and I do not get sick days....but I would not trade it for anything anyone has listed so far. As for in the past, low level mechanic, met, stereo shop owner, part small business owner (air cooled VW shop) , manager of a video game arcade, and a summer of building demolition.

Former computer repair monkey at a Walmart Distribution Center. 8 years US Army as well. Disabled vet, too young for social security disability when my health went south and forced me out of the computer repair career I had made. I do graphic design, illustration, hand tooled leather, airbrush and custom paint, and any sort of other handyman jobs I can pick up for supplemental income. Hoping to get my art studio built within the next year, then see if I can take the art thing to the next level. I would also like to go back to school for my welding and machining certifications just to have a fall back in case the art thing doesn't pay the bills when it goes full time.
I do Non-Destructive Testing for the Government. I served almost 10 years in the Marine Corps before doing NDT on Coast Guard Aircraft as a civilian. Switched from Dept of Homeland Security to the Dept of the Navy about 5 years ago and doing Marine Corps aircraft now.
I have been retired for the last 2 years. Moved to Florida from Washington state. I was a general contractor/finish carpenter for 35 years. Before that I repaired cameras (Nikon, Hasselblad, Canon, Mamiya, Bronica, Leica, ....). I am in the process of building a garage/shop to house my vehicles and have woodworking shop space.
