Rather than dredge up the past, I have opted to charge forward into the future as I am not the same animal and neither is my "new" van. After some wheeling and dealing, bartering and a little cash, I have a 79 Dodge B100 parked in my garage. Plans are to tighten everything up and do a little cosmetic bodywork and then paint or wrap the van to promote my business. I managed to save a set of staggered Ansen rims from a previous project that I will be cleaning up and putting new rubber on. The goal is a 70's boogie van style up and running by this summer when I turn 40. I also have a strange urge to give the van a nose job. I had a 77 Tradesman 20 years ago and the nose was SO MUCH cooler than the 79. As the fenders are pooched on the 79, I have the overwhelming urge to slice and dice that earlier nose onto that ugly mug. I think I can do it. Another drink or three and I will know I can pull it off. Anyhow, looking forward to learning a lot here, getting some advice and inspiration and buying and selling some parts here and there. Yes, I agree the earlier Dodges had a better nose job but that design worked too. The newer European style sucked big time. Post pictures when you do the grafting.
