offset/backspace question.... | Joined: Sep 2016 Posts: 145 Likes: 8 member | OP member Joined: Sep 2016 Posts: 145 Likes: 8 | hey guys...got a 87 dodge b150 and recently purchased tnv flair kit and trying to understand the wheel offset choices....will a wheel with 3,75 inch backspace make the tire stick out away from the van body v/s a wheel with a 4 inch backspace? im going for the wide skateboard stance that will allow tires to be really close to the lip of the flares....so is it the smaller or larger number backspace that pushes the mounted tire away from the body....thanks for any help | | | Re: offset/backspace question.... | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,309 Likes: 569 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,309 Likes: 569 | Well if ya think about it ... the backspace # is from the back side mounting flat center to the edge of the rim ... so the smaller number will stick out farther
