I thought I would share how I'm go about laying out my paint scheme ideas for my Ford 3rd gen. This process has evolved with the advent of the interwebs, but I've been doing this since I was a kid.
The first pic is my van as she sits. I found the second pic on the web and printed it. The third pic is what I have done with a little white-out and a copier. I now have a stack of blank-slate line drawings of my van to sketch, shade, color, insert bubble windows, etc. Fourth pic is the first design I have come up with. It uses my stock base color, as I intend to airbrush this beast in my driveway myself, on the cheap. There is meant to be a lace detail in white inside the wide stripes. That effect is tough to capture with colored pencils.
I will continue to add some paint design ideas here just to see what ya'll's reactions are.
