Awesome build, Robo! I love seeing your progress and wondering what you'll do next. Very cool!

Looking good. I'm thinking of doing something similar for my floor. I'm just not sure yet.

Spring is here! What that means that I can start working on my baby again, whatever time I have being busy at work...
Dunno did I mentioned about my 25 skylight windows before, but they are happening right this now:) First I sanded and my roof and put primer on:

Then I scraped off insulation foam and put primer on the inside as well:

Got a sheet of 5mm polycarbonate glass, made myself a router table, cut the glass, rounded the edges and made a groove where it's gonna sit on sheet metal:

Summers on Vancouver Island hits +30C and I have to tint it, otherwise without AC I'll be as crispy as my bacon. But you can't use tinting film on polycarbonate because it always "breathes" therefore you''ll always have bubbles under tint film. Of course I had to try for myself to fail. I tested tinting/darkening spray from a rattle can as well. That failed too as it is nearly impossible to get even coat on just one 6x15in window, nevermind on all of them. So I found a solution to use an automotive wrapping film, a little dot perforated that is being used for adds on buses windows. It blocks 50% light apparently:)

If it's broken- I'll fix it! If it's not- I'll break it to figure it out how it works so I can fix it.

I sanded the edges to bare metal for polyurethane glass glue stick better and started gluing them on:

Because of my super advanced and sophisticated weigh-down system, I staggered my windows and after doing half of them called it a day. I didn't want to have too much weight in one spot or one section to distort my roof. At the end of the day here what Boogie looks like:

Oh, it's coming guys, I'm back at it:)
Took my stones off, doesn't look pretty for now...

[Linked Image from imagizer.imageshack.com]

Gluing them on is a slow process. I have to make sure I get an even, uninterrupted and generous bead of polyurethane so I don't have air gaps. Creasing leftovers on the inside like this:

And then creasing leftovers on the outside. This way I have same bead of polyurethane from outside to inside. I checked the ones I glued yesterday, oh boy, never thought polyurethane can be so strong! Not a chance it'll come off:)

I think I missed a pic, here's the profile of my glass, it'll explain better how it sits on sheet metal:
