There is a G20 locally that emits a small amount of white smoke upon cold start every morning. Would you avoid this?
If it has a blueish tint to it, that's oil. Valve stem seals on a higher mileage (or just old) small block Chevy will do that. But it can be hard to tell a guide from a seal at the earl y stages. If it's truly white smoke, I'd be leery, as that could be coolant.
