I had a quick question, are you able to put pre-1985 g20 tail lights on a newer g20? I like the look of them old ones better.

Edit: Also wondering is the sidemarker lights that are pre-85 will go on too

Yes on the tail lights. Some minor modifications required to hold them in place. You'll need to cut new gaskets to keep out moisture.

Yes on the sidemarkers. No modifications required. 70's GM pickup/suburban markers fit as well. Be sure you replace/renew the fixture-to-metal gaskets to keep out moisture.

What are the minor modifications? Like splicing in different bulb fixtures, or removing metal? About the metal gaskets, do I have to make those or are those sold? Just wondering for future reference, thanks.

You'll have to remove some of the metal mounting bracket that are in the openings for the newer tail lights lights and fab up some to mate up with the older style lights. Usually you'll need to cut the gaskets you'll need from some cork material. None of that is hard to do it just takes a little time.
You could try the "Search" option for that here in the forums as that modification has been posted in the past but the pictures may/may not be there.
