I've got a '76 B200. The spring broke on the door handle. It opens, but I really have to pull on the handle and give the door a good shoulder check to open it. I can't find a replacement spring anywhere. Anyone have any experience with this? Repair tips? My shoulder is getting sore and I'd love to take care of this.
Thanks!

The spring on the handle just holds the handle cosed. If you have ot pull hard ont he handle to get the latch to open then there is a problem inside the door unrelated to the springon the handle. You need to inspect your linkage for bends or broken clips. A replacement spring will likely be a junkyard item.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

Thanks Reed, I'll get in there and check out the linkage.

Thanks again. Just had to put a little extra bend in the linkage to shorten it a bit. Still need to find a spring, but the cosmetic can wait, the mechanical is working.
