I think I can make it work without too much fuss but does anyone out there in Van Land know for sure before I start taking things apart and pulling my hair out? | | | Re: 70s Chevy dash compatibility | Joined: Oct 2017 Posts: 270 enthusiast | enthusiast Joined: Oct 2017 Posts: 270 | Well, I don’t know for sure because I’m new to the game. I have both a ‘77 and a ‘78. I can take some measurements of the dash, doghouse for a comparison. Since bodies are the same, the size may be compatible. It’s what has been rearranged in The wiring that that might cause the problem.
I’ll take a look next week and report back. I’m doing a grill/bumper changeover on the two.
Interesting to see if the dash will go.

Converting the grille & headlights is low on my to-do list but I managed to find a '75 at a salvage yard and brought home enough parts to do it once I find a front decent bumper.
I may go back to grab the dash & doghouse just for the hell of it (and because my dash is trashed and I have high hopes). If it works, it works. If not, I'm sure I can sell it for what I pay for it without too much trouble.

Sold the 350 engine and 400 trans for $250. The 12 bolt rear is on Craigslist. All the rest of the van I get for free. I’ll strip it, an get $150 for the shell.
Wish I could find more.

I need a dash for my 76 chevy
