Also interested in this.. Just finishing up my restoration and really don't feel like getting a $2500 payout if something happens.

This may not work in your state but...

If it is 25 years old or older, license it as an antique, get an appraisal and insure it for a high but logical amount. Take lots of pictures often. Drive it wherever and if it gets wrecked, you were probably on your way to the repair shop or to an auto evant.

Make sure you understand the difference between "Agreed Value Coverage" and "Stated Value Coverage" because they are very different. One will pay you the $2,500 and the other will pay you $25,000.

Good luck.

My van is a basic 1994 cargo van, nothing fancy as of yet, so I just carry State Farm liability insurance at a 100/300/100 coverage amount, plus uninsured under insured at the same amounts, costs me $40/mo for the van.
Me being a retired EMT, and my wife doing medical billing, we have seen the results of not enough coverage, and we feel that our states 25/50/25 requirement is way too low. Cover Your A** !
As for the Stated Value Insurance, you should be able to get a better price than that, check with a few “regular” insurance companies as well as some companies that only do Speciallity Insurance.

Look in Hemings Motor News for specialty companies, when I had Wolf-Den, that’s where I found her insurer, sorry, forget their name.

I use Hagerty but they are tough on allowing vans. Mine is not a daily driver which they frown upon and It needs to be custom to them.
