I was wanting to install a set of Jegs 3-point belts on my Dodge B100. Anyone have any experience doing this? I'm thinking the factory sheet metal may be too thin to simply create a hole and tap a thread. I'm thinking I may need to weld on a piece of steel for a thicker base perhaps. Main problem is I'm not a welder. I'm sorry I don't have a pic yet, I just got my seatbelts a few minutes ago, lol, thought I'd put this scenario out there. Thank you for any input! -JD

Are you talking about the set up that has a lap belt and a Y shaped shoulder set up? If so, those usually mount the shoulder set up to a fool bar, or to a part welded or bolted to the floor.

Dodge vans have had factory three point seatbelt systems since the mid 70s. What year are you working on?

The factory three point mount used the seat base for the lower two anchor points and the roof channel at the top of the wall as the mount for a captive nut inside the channel.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

This is a 1975 Dodge B100. The factory seats I removed only had a lap belt system, there is no shoulder-mount or belt in this van. Ive not noticed any factory mounting points where a shoulder harness would have been. I've replaced the factory swivel seats with a more modern van seat, and have transferred my lap belts to the updated seats, and I have the Jegs 3 point system waiting to utilize after trying to investigate a bit, lol. Hope this answers your question, sir.

actually now that I know what I'm looking for, I do see a spot for what I'm guessing is the upper seat belt mount bolt, ha. So, yay to that! smile

I was gonna say, if this is a factory style 3point system, look on the wall, just above your shoulder height and you should find the factory bolt hole.
Glad you found it.

Been a while now, so.....at this time, I'm realizing the retractable part of the belt system should be mounted to the floor. There is a 7/16 hole on the floor for the factory belts, but I'm trying to mount up a Jegs 3 point, and I need an L shape bracket to not only stick out about 2 inches horizontally, but also about 6 inches vertically in order to clear my non-factory seats and to also not run out of length on the belts. sigh, lol. I miraculously found something that will probably work well from my job, but I need another one. I realize this is all pretty meaningless without pics so I'll and get some coming if anyone cares, lol
