Posts: 9,812 On Route 66 in Bethany Oklahom... | Hey all, I just made a deal to buy us a van ! I came across a 1994 Dodge cargo van with a empty interior for $300 ! It has a 318 V8, auto trans, ac, am/fm/cd stereo and not much else. It is blue in color, looks like it might need front end work, and the ac blows COLD! I am going to work towards a off-road look with it, BFG All Terrain style tires, wagon wheel steel rims, panel the interior and carpet the floor, and at some point a bed in back. I am also going to put a few LED light bars (bumper, roof, roof mounted work lights etc) This I saw NOT going to Ben a “pretty van”, but fun and functional van ! If I can figure out how to post pics now, with out photo-rip-off, I have a few to share. . . . . Maybe we can even make Spring Fever this year ! YAY !

94 is a good year. It should be after the terrible late 80s/early 90s TBI system and actually should be a Magnum engine. Nice! The wheel bolt pattern for your van is 5x5.5, so you can look at Jeep and Ford truck and van wheels, too. You can fit pretty beefy tires on the back, but be careful on the front. 235/75/15 tires on the factory 15x7 rims with 4 inches of backspacing rub on the wheel arches over big bumps.
Front end work isn't that hard on those vans and the parts are pretty cheap on Rockauto. If you need to check trouble codes, all you have to do is the "key dance." Turn the key on-off-on-off-on quickly and the stored trouble codes will either display on the odometer or the check engine light will flash them out for you.

I have been around before now, just not very active, but that will change now that I have a van and will have questions, issues and just want to brag/talk about my new girl.
Oh, on that note, we have chosen Ol’Blu as her current/temporary name, maybe permanent name.

Posts: 12,048 Fircrest, WA | More info about the "key dance" and decoding the trouble codes: https://www.allpar.com/fix/codes/index.htmlMopar first introduced the "key dance" method of trouble code retrieval in the early 80s with the computer controlled 2.2 motors, but has kept it as a feature up to current production vehicles. It is one of the things I really like about Mopars. On any Ford or GM product i work on, I have to get a special tool to pull the trouble codes. But Mopars just need the ignition key.
