its time to change the fuel filter. i 'd like to replace the gasket that goes between the inlet nut and carburetor at the same time. unfortunately, i am unable to find one. i checked the dealer, autozone, and o'reilly's, but no luck. does anyone know where i might find one? its a rochester 4mv carb. i did have some problems with leakage in the past but applied some permatex high temp thread sealant, and it stopped.

thanx

You're probably gonna have to cut your own. PITA because it's not very wide.
Finding one separate from a kit is doubtful but you might try these guys http://www.carbkitsource.com/
I always removed the internal filter and added an external to make changes easier.

These days , only in a rebuild kit. I would toss the brass filter and use an inline filter instead.
