In the market for a clean , rust-free pair of rear doors with pop-out windows, OR solid doors without windows. Also interested in mint condition chrome front and rear bumpers. PM, or email : jlkip@hotmail.com .

Oldskool- I don't know where you are at in WA, but the Lakewood pick-n-pull has a few 75-91 Ford vans right now with good doors. No solids or popouts, just fixed windows, but you can convert to opening windows pretty easy (I did it on my 89 Ford).

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

Reed, I'm on Whidbey Island. Where can I find the parts to convert to pop-outs . Have not seen that done.

Take out the fixed window, set strip hinge drill 4 holes , screw it down, , install the seal, load pop out window on hinge, set knob hardware in place drill 2 holes, screw it down .... same for the other pop out ... job done.

The holes in the door are predrilled. If you can find a set of factory popout windows, changing over is pretty easy. You first remove the fixed windows and weatherstrip from the doors, then install the popout weatherstrip and windows from the donor. I did it on my 89 Ford. But if you find a pair of opening windows on a parts van, you can just buy the whole door and skip the conversion (unless you wantto keep your original doors).

You need the glass, the upper hinge, the screws for the upper hinge, the latch, the screws for the latch, and the weatherstrip for the opening window. All the holes are already in the door (if memory serves). I converted the rear and side door windows on my 89 Ford from fixed to opening windows. I happened across the rear windows for a great price on eBay and I can't remember where I found the side windows.

I converted the rear and side door windows of my van to pop outs too. The rear windows came with frames that go on the inside and outside and then attached to each other sandwiching the door window opening in between. They were from a conversion van.

The side window on the slider door had the holes pre drill, so it was a just a matter of attaching the hinge on top and window clamps on bottom. There are mounting pads which are inside the door that you'll need for the window clamps. Take a long magnet or gripping claw tool (not sure of it's official name) as they will fall to the bottom of the door. This window was from a window van and off the driver's side center window. It fit perfectly in the slider door. All three windows were $15.00 total at a local pick and pull.

Good Luck with yours!

I guess crappy doors with good pop-out windows are on my list too.
