What are some modifications i can make to a van to increase gas mileage? I hav a GMC 95 Vandura

Need to know motor size, tranny, rear gears & type of tires....

Buy a Prius and make the payment with the money you save on gas. These vans don't get good mileage, they just don't. The absolute best mileage numbers I've ever seen from a G20 was about 15mpg.

Well, you could install a turbo diesel, but it would take a long time to recver the cost of conversion in fuel savings.

You may already have all improvements you could want with a late model, overdrive trans, TBI injection. All you can do is keep it in good tune. I don't want to know my gas millage, I spend 120 in gas every week. I could make a 480 dollar car payment with that and if I quit smoking at 11 a pack I would have another 660 for a 1000 dollar car payment. I should just quit smoking so I could lead foot all the time in the van.

Step up to TPI when you can afford it.

3/4 ton vandura, 350, 4 speed, and the rear gears i dont know, whatever came stock with this van, and the tires idk im out of town but they are 255s

With keeping every thing stock the best you can do is keep tuned, tires inflated & watch your driving habits. I take it it has a ele overdrive tranny being a '95.

10 - 12 is the best you can get driving a stock 350 brick.

Now if you want to throw money at it, thats another story......
