Thought I would document this if anyone else can benefit from it.
A little back story...My aunt bought this brand new to use as a wheelchair conversion van. Years go by and she gets a newer van and gives me this for free. I use it for my band and movin stuff around. I've had it for about 12 years now and its probably my best running vehicle haha. I use it as a second daily driver for work or around town.

I'm trying to lift it about 2-3 inches and put some 30 or 31 inch tires. So far I replaced the rear leaf springs (4 leaves and 1 overload) with new stock leaves (5 leaves with 1 overload). FInished up today and it added about 2.25". I was surprised of the lift I got with only new springs!

Next move is to install the coil spring spacers which are advertised to lift it 2-3 inches. If that lifts the front too high ill add a 1 inch block in the rear or take a leaf from the old set and add to the new set.

This will be a slow moving van and thread. Enjoy!

Wasn't planning on it but I found some nice early style tail lights at the junkyard and decided to get em. Still looking around for some rear doors...

Looking good so far. Excellent score at the junk yard too. Always good to grab stuff like that when you get the opportunity.

Just got the coil spring spacers in and it lifted the front of the van a little shy of 3 inches. Looks like I'll be putting in 1 inch or 1.5 inch blocks in the rear and hopefully some wheels and tires soon!

Nice stance. What type coil spring spacers did you use? The horshoe looking ones that are placed at the bottom of the coil? Any change to your shocks expected? Just curious, I've done bigger coils 20yrs ago but now have an 89G20. Keep up the posts on your work, nice van.

I like where your going with this. I'll take a pic of mine and post later, suns down. If your upper control arm is hitting the frame. Look up flipping your ball joint for a slight patch. I'm currently using my shocks as limit straps and i'm still on the hitting the bump rubber. I used spring spacers and after measuring the installed height I realized I have worn springs. Some more lift in there, I currently have 14 inches of clearance in the front crossmember. When you get tires you will be satisfied or the crazy will hit. This seems to be a trend, there are alot of lifted vans by me.
