Hi
I'm looking at getting my nos rear porthole windows either chromed or fully polished . Has anyone found an easy way of removing the seal from the alluminium frame itself ? Can the be removed without damaging the seal ? They are still supple but don't want to ruin something I can't replace, they are the parralelogram shaped ones .
Many thanks

3m makes an “eraser wheel” that fits in your drill.
I remove old lettering and adhesive from new vehicles without a scratch.

I wouldn’t worry about the seal. Some of the new Flexiseal will bond it.

Hi .thanks for the reply . I've managed to get them apart without damaging the seals .there is an inner thin seal that keeps it up agains the larger to outside gap . Removed that gently first that allowed me to get it all apart for polishing ..
cheers
