My 1979 G20 350 van was set up with a 700r4. it only turns about 1800 rpm at 75mph with 275/60 tires. i would like to be running about 2200, isn't that a more common rpm at those speeds? what is the best gearing to swap into it? and what gears are in it? Thanks

I have 3.73s in my Suburban and Express. Never feels like it's turning too many revs on the highway, and is a good gear for scooting away form the line, towing, etc.
