New to the van world. Picked up a cream 87/88 Dodge B250 with a 318 on propane a few months or so ago on a whim, sold our 01 BMW 330i shortly after.
The Dodge is quirky but, the propane is kind of a hassle imo, mainly because there's only two mechanics around that still work on that system.
Been looking to change vans as my family and I are thinking about driving cross country and think petrol would be a better choice. Looked at a couple vans so far, 79 E150 in mint green with a 302 and a 89 GMC Rally STX. Both were cool but not quite the right feel..the Dodge feels so much more chill and punk rock which is what we enjoy about it. I figured this would be a good place to learn more about all the options and see why people like what about their vans.

Welcome. Good luck on your search. Why not just change the propane back to gas? You would probably only need to clean out the gas tank and put a carb back on it.

Starlord. Yes I've considered that, I'm not certain if that's an option or not as I think my van came propane directly from Chrysler. I've two tanks and I don't know if the main is a regular tank or not. Also, concerned the engine may need a rebuild soon..possibly need new piston rings as I get a fair bit of oil in the air filter/housing and out the tail pipe..no smoke though.
