5.7/350 I can't seem to find a replacement for my smog pump without having to wait a week or more for shipping. I don't have that kind of time. I have seen alot about bypassing the pump, also can't seem to find a dummy pulley for my engine. Can I use a smaller belt? If so, does anyone know what size belt I would need exactly?

Did 1987 use a serpentine belt? My 1985 305ci has v-belts and was as easy as removing the pump and anything else related to it, plugging the holes, and throwing the pld parts in the trash. No extra belt necessary.

I deleted the EGR while I was at it.

If you have a serpentine belt and can re-rout the belt without using an idler in place of the smog pump, just use a string to figure the correct length for a new belt

Welcome to the site Cptripps!

I believe that Tuner may be right on the belt suggestion .
My 90 G30 454 is serpentine with no smog pump. Your application uses no idler pulley with no smog pump.

A/C, PS. No K19 air injection OE. Belt #14102103

An '87 California 350 will no doubt have a smog pump.
49 state? IDK, but it looks like there is an application.
Ask your parts guy, it should come up.
The Truth is out there.

Good Hunting!

I took another trip to my auto part store, and luckily this time, the one guy there that really knows his stuff was working. Turns out they sell a belt specifically for bypassing the smog pump. Also, I do have an idler pulley, as well as the tensioner idler. Thank you guys for taking the time to try to help. I will be sticking around this site for sure, I've done some browsing here and find it quite interesting. Time for some cosmetic work on this American classic.

Yeah, just pipe plugs. I took one of the old pipes to the parts store and just matched the threaded fitting up with a pipe plug, then bought 8 of them.
