I've been reading about vans and have a few questions.

I bought a '78 shorty panel a few weeks ago I'm restoring.

It has the name "Bauville" on the passenger side dash.
I've seen "Sport Van", Rally Van" and Nomad vans from chevy.

What, if any is the difference?

Hey Lettercraft, Welcome to the site!

The "Beauville," denotes a trim level which indicates a the top of the line optioned Van offered by Chevy. A Chevy van may be a "Sportvan," but may also have the "Beauville," designation as well, along with the associated upper level trim and options.

The Sport van is the base model.........

The other types are made from the sport van depending what trim level was ordered.

My Van does have A/C and an auxillary gas tank. Maybe it's the door panels.

I'll have to check out some of the other vans and compare them.

Back in the day, an ash try was white wall tires were an add on.

Anyone know the trim level on a GMC Rally STX ? Mine has side windows and two rows of bench seats.
