Here is my new project, the Blue Turd. A $500 craigslist buy.

[Linked Image]

I needed a donor van for tires, mirrors, captains chairs, sofa/bed, trailer hitch, overhead console (with Cobra CB!), blue door panels front and back, padded diamond tuck ceiliing panel and a ton of other trim odds and ends both cosemetic and mechanical. The Blue turd has A/C and has not been tested yet.

So, enter the bastard. A 1986 customized beast for $750 bucks. Not running but has a new carb, exhaust, and tires.

Today, I switched the wheels and tires out until I score a set of Cragars. I have the fronts (15 x 7's ) with new Dunlop GT Quaifiers all new for cheap.

What are some of you running on the back?
Are you using flares?

The bastard has some molded flares with the running board. I could easily cut the running board off and shape the flares.

Thoughts?

Yes, photobucket stopped allowing "third party hosting", or in layman's terms, you can't post images on forums anymore. To do so will cost you $399 a year.

I made the move to Flickr. A huge amount of free photo storage, much much faster than the bucket, few if any ads, easy to use. Wish I'd have moved years ago. I wrote a tutorial on how to use it HERE.

Interior on the donor looks pretty nice for the price you paid::

Thanks Catfish.
A visit to youtube has solved the mystery.

Here is a test. This drawing is of my van by my friend John Deaton of the Toon factory.

He used to do cartoons for the actual Cartooons magazine back in the day.
