Good Evening everyone.
I'm Mike. I live in the DC area. Once upon a time my dad owned a 1977 Econoline 150.
My dad, being a baptist preacher, loved his shaggin' Wagon. It was a beautiful machine with blue velvet interior and shag carpet. Mood lights and lots of mirrors. That's me on the far right. I also enjoyed the van on dates being the preachers son. A good time was had by all who entered the magic of a room on wheels. Those are stories for another post.
I just purchased a '78 Chevy shorty panel van from the original owner for $500. I've got a ton of questions about what works and what doesn't. It's currently in the shop to replace the 350 with a 400 small block.
I've enjoyed seeing the vans you all have created and hope to complete the "Blue Turd" (as my wife calls it) this winter.
Hello for now.
Project photos to follow.
