Hi first post here, I know it should be in intro but....I got a pressing issue. I have an 84 G20 coachman camper conversion and it likes to eat front tires. I mean within 3-5k miles they're done on inside and outside tread. I had it aligned by a tire shop but Im sure they just did toe and had no interest in doing camber (actually they said they wouldnt try because the bolts might break). So I took a couple shims out myself and while it's obviously too much it still eats outside tread. GVW is about 6500lbs.
tires are 235/75-15. It came with bridgestone insignia XL 108T, then I tried some goodyear wranglers. Both had issue. Got a used set of michelin 65 sidewalls just to move the van. I put about 500 miles on those and not a single sign of the problem. So I don't think it's mechanical, I think 75 without being E rated is too much flex.
Any suggestions? It's getting really frustrating because no one makes 15" tires with high load ratings that I can find....besides trailer tires
