I show a part number #14027100, windshield, tinted, good from 1985 thru 1991. I have a 1990. I think there may be a difference in how the glass is retained? My book only goes back to '85, hope this might help. Good hunting.

Yes.
The sheet metal is all the same.
There are two types of windshields. One is glue-in and one is a gasket type. The glue-in will need the outside trim pieces in order to look right and the gasket type will need the gasket in order to fit and seal.
Our '94 GMC's original glue-in windshield has been replaced with a gasket type and it works great.

Looks like a great way to go, just need a windshield rubber gasket, plus gets rid of the ugly trim strip. All systems go.
