Hey guys I'm new to vanning and need some help figuring out why my brake lights arent working? Recently bought the van and the interior is stripped so I'm not sure if the previous owner screwed with them or what. Have working head lights/ hazards/ turn signals but nothing from either inside bulb (brake and running lights) any pointers would help and or direction. I'll rewire the whole damn thing if I have to??

Also check the brake switch on the back of the pedal. It can be missing, not set correctly or bad.

On my old Dodge trucks there is one wire that branches for tail light illumination and then one wire for turn signal/brake light for each side. I haven't looked at my 75 Plymouth van's wiring but I'd assume it's the same. Usually you will either lose tail light illumination or turn/brake but to have illumination and turn but no brakes definitely sounds like brake light switch. On one of my trucks the plastic threads on the body of the switch are stripped so sometimes it slides up in it's hole and the brake lights flicker on constantly. Anyway, I'd grab a multimeter and check the switch as ovanner said
