Hey, it's me; being swallowed up by yet another great, black hole of time killers, another owners' group! Let's see, lifelong Mopar guy; family racing since 1963 (I was 9 at the time!) Raced super stocks, early funny cars, superstocks again, and on into pro stock until the Chrysler boycott. Ended my professional racing career on a turbo nitrous Top Fuel Funnybike back in the '90's, running over 200 MPH in the 1/4 mile. Now I build composite aircraft. My FB page is AM Composites. I've built carbon fiber stuff for over 30 years, pretty much don't need the practice. Done stuff for Dodge Vipers, Ferarris, pro race teams, etc. Built the world's largest double helix wind turbine in 2008. So I like to build stuff. Oh, yeah, 30 years at Rockwell Int'l buried in there somewhere, built the Space Shuttle, B-1B bomber, and many other recent additions to our national aerospace museums.
Now, let's talk vans, shall we?

Welcome! Sounds like you've done a wee bit of building over the years...might be perfect for doing a few van mods.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll have to check out how to post photos here when I have a few extra minutes. I'm thinking of doing a really trick interior for the van, modern, like with a custom molded Alumaglass headliner, and Carbon fiber and exotic wook side panels, a utilitarian carpet with a slide in and out molded fiberglass "tub" that I could just sit in place when I have to haul stuff. I'm going to use aircraft seat tracks so I can install and remove a customer rear seat assembly, or use them to hold cargo in place. Right now stuggling with how to lower it. The front is easy, D150 dropped spindles. The rear is a serious challenge. I won't "flip it", that sucks. On my old Dodge trucks, I simply raised the rear spring hangers up on the chassis to the desired ride height, and redrilled the mounting holes. With the van, these is simply no room. But, I can have reverse arch springs made, and that may be the best solution. Probably only get about a 2" drop out of it, though.
