It seems that Mike Lewis, AKA F-U-Manchu took his own life 12/31/13. Here's what I found;

Here's the last page of the build thread Mike had going over there. The van is in good hands.

This does bring up the question of, who will let online friends know of things like this? In this case, Mike had a local friend that let the people of Los Boulevardos forum know, but who will do this for you? And how do you know if someone has passed, or just lost interest in the hobby? It makes you think. If I were to pass, I'm guessing you all wouldn't notice, as I barely have 100 posts here.
So, I propose a toast. Albeit late, let us raise a glass to Mike Lewis,"F-U Manchu!".
Einstein, when describing radio said "Wire telegraph is like a very long cat. You pull his tail in NY and he meows in LA. And radio works the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

We make several truck-ins each year, rotating either going north or south from home. We belong to SEVC and the FVC, and multiple clubs. We attend all the meetings we can. We've met and made friends for life at eVants all over the country. And there's more to come.....we are planning a western tour since we retired. (maybe Corncob Campout next year, fingers crossed). Can't go to 'em all but that don't keep us from doing what we can. As my good friend in Canada likes to say "Supporting Vanning, by going Vanning In A Van !"

I'm on several different forums, but not a prolific poster. The regulars always seem to notice when another regular hasn't posted in a while and begin questioning where he/she is. My absence wouldn't be noticed on any of the forums. I guess that's the price for a little privacy. And I will raise one for F-U Manchu as well.

In my case, there is no one in my family that has any interest in my vans. Should I pass, my stuff would likely just be auctioned off.
I wonder if there is a way to set up a list of people who would be able to ensure a vanner's van goes to another vanner?
