I haven't been able to find any info regarding this as I suppose its not common. Is is possible to put the softer springs of a G20 van into a G30 van? The van wont be doing any heavy duty work
Welcome to the site ..... How big is the motor, if its a 454 dont go soft ... the weight of the motor. Even if its not going to be haulin things. If you do go soft I can bet that you will haul something some day,
Again welcome...

At the moment i am unsure of the moment, just know its a fuel injected v8 on a 1995. Its got a hightop but the interior is currently empty. Concerned about the ride quality on an empty van thats meant to carry heavy cargo
Whats the 8th digit of your vin ... if its a "K" then its a 350, if its a "N" then its a 454.
An empty van is a canvas for a new interior, which will add some weight & smooth out your ride.
All the seats are gone in my '93 & I keep a 350 Yamaha quad in the back.
All the seats are gone in my '92 & I have built a interior with 2 TV's one has a play station on it, frig, microwave, A chase lounge couch & a full bed pedestal with a 4 draw dresser in the rear.
So having a empty van you may want to think into your future on what your doing with it.

I 100% will be using it to do up with a camper interior. I dont have the vin right now as im Still in the process of buying it, but I think its the 350 engine.
Even with the camper interior, most conversion hightop vans used the g20 as a base so I dont think the weight would be an issue?
Appreciate the help as well.

Welcome to the site Visionist! Nice G30, good find. Awesome Camper.
I have a 8600 GVWR G30 454 Ext. Yeah, empty it's stiff. But it's good for my needs, and the Weather here in West Texas, so. I personally wouldn't do it. That Hightop is not light.
I'm also running a tall stiff tire, stiff shocks. It is stable at speed in a 45 mph crosswind. 50+ mph gusts angled across the bow barely faze it.
My B350 Xplorer Van has a hightop, plus full 230 Camper package. I run the same tire/shock combo, Xplorer factory Hellwig 2500 overload springs, Plus AirBags plumbed independently. I use every bit of that going down the road.
Severe winds would definitely be more interesting, removing 2000 pounds of load capacity in yours. Way more Pucker Factor!

You will want the G30 springs with that hi top, as noted cross winds will be a challenge!
You will also be surprised just how much weight an interior adds. My 83 only has 1/4" fabric covered paneling on the walls and roof, 1/2" plywood floor, and a small cabinet enclosing the spare tire and a 19" flat screen TV. This still adds up to over 200lbs.
Besides having G30 coils I also have Bilstien shocks, which are among the stiffest in the industry, I also run dual Monroe steering stabilizers & anti-sway bar . All of these help in high wind.
