Anyone have a diagram for heater hose routing for a Chevy G20 (1990, 5.7.l ) WITHOUT a rear/aux heater?
been looking online and found nothing useful.

Just removed the rear heater and all the hoses because of leaks. Almost done replacing all the hoses and old couplers.
Installed a new 4way heater valve (right at the in/out of the cab heater) and it leaked so it's going back; i would prefer not to wait for another and be done with this.

Seems to me hose to heater routing could be way more simplified. I have a feeling that 4way Im using is only because there was a rear heater.

My red '93 had rear heat, the hoses head towards the back in the passenger wheel well ( right by #5 spark plug). I removed the rear heat & I cut the hoses right there & put in plugs & hose clamped both hoses.

You cut the hose that comes off the top off the engine? doesn't that go to your heater core inside?
I think I have decided to take out the heater control valve altogether, cap the vacuum and just run the coolant flow through the cab at all times.
have read it won't really add much heat -

The hoses that come out of the heater core that goes to the rear & the return are the one I cut & plugged.
