Hi I'm a newbie here.. I've seen the posts on what it takes to change the grills from the square headlights to the older 70s style.. fenders, radiator header support, bumpers... but what about the early 80s vans with the round headlights and swapping grills?? Do you still have to change fenders etc...??

These are the most commonly asked questions on this site. I don't know what all it takes to go from early 80s to 70s, but I gave up on doing my '92 because of lack of information, costs, and parts availability.
I sure wish I could help... I'd do a write up and we'd all have 70s grilles. LOL
Vanners are a pretty accepting bunch and I don't think any of us are into social reprogramming. You should only change your gender if you really really think you need to. We accept everyone as they are and welcome them.
I believe he meant to say ... Do you still have to change the fenders .....lol
But either way welcome to the site !

My fault... lol I meant fenders good sir.. guess I really should of proof read thanks though
From what I've found it looks like the swap would be too extensive.. just haven't found a round headlight 80s grill swapped back to 70s .. was just wondering if it were easyer considering it appears that the headlights/ front turning signals appear the same, and just the grill being different.. im sure I'm probably wrong, but someone's got to know.. where's the vanning veterans at???
