Purchased my 1982 B150 prospector almost a year ago. Previous owner overheated the van and blew the engine. Its been a long journey, but today I had the first start of the new engine. A couple of bugs with the vacuum advance and gauges to work out but it runs.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I got it running and idling today. Turns out it wasn't anything to do with the vacuum system, rather the carb needed to be adjusted a bit. Now to figure out why my electric fan conversion isnt working. I suspect some mysterious electrical gremlin is playing tricks on me. Cant wait now until I can start to clean up and fix the interior. Aesthetic items are always so much more pleasing to work on.
Been awhile since I posted an update. The interior is about done, minus the seats. New headliner, repainted upper panels, new door cards, repainted dash, and installed new gauges...
