I am thinking about building a wooden center console for between the front seats. Something with compartments in it for storage but also made so our dog can easily climb up on it from the rear and ride on top the console between us. Anyone ever seen anything like this? Post any pics of custom van center consoles here. All ideas are welcome. | | | Re: Custom Center Console | Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 4,805 Likes: 123 Uncle Rust N Dents | Uncle Rust N Dents Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 4,805 Likes: 123 | I was considering something similar on my G20, but then changed my mind because I really like being able to go from the driver's seat to the back easily, and that would also mean one more thing to remove to get the doghouse off. While I was researching though, I did see some pretty cool ideas. Sorry I can't point you that way, I have no idea where that stuff was anymore. | | | Re: Custom Center Console | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 1,593 veteran | veteran Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 1,593 | There were some conversion vans that had a center console like that and it would house a TV/VCR, and have magazine racks and cup holders... I've seen a few in junk yards, and I had one for a while but it was cheap and made of MDF, and fell apart...
They exist, but I'm sure you could come up with something just as cool on your own... | | |
