I recently bought a '94 G20 for $1000. I'm looking to take it from coast to coast and back again. I believe she will need some front end suspension work done as well as regular maintenance and repairs. Is this something I can accomplish in the $3000 range? Looking to get her road ready and reliable. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Id start with rubber products, vac hoses, serp belt & tires ( dont skimp here )
Again welcome....

Like Frscke1 said start with that kinda stuff. I would think a budget of 3k is more then enough. Especially if you can do some of the work yourself.

Welcome to the Site! Grats on the purchase of the Chevy. Score for sure.
A factory service manual comes in real handy sometimes, as do the parts, and the electrical manuals for our Vans. When travelling, I carry tools, an electrical box, oil, water etc. If I have to crawl underneath, I won't be laying on dirt.
A few failures on my Vans have been in the AC clutch bearing, X3, 88, and 94 Dodge's, which made intermittent noise. And Abrupt failure on the 90 Chevy, at 80,000 miles, which sounds like a big box of angry rocks!
Cheers and Good wrenching, Ryan!
