It appears my fuel pump may be bad. Can't find the fuel test pressure port. Can anyone tell me if the 351W has a fuel test pressure port?

Thanks!

Steve

Mechaical fuel pump vehicles do not have a fuel pressure test port like electronic fuel pump EFI vehicles. The way you test a fuel pump on a vehcile with a mechanical fuel pump is (1) pull the oil dipstick and see if it smells like gas (a blown fuel pump duiaphragm can let fuel leak into the crankcase) (2) disconnect the fuel inlet form the carb and the coil wire form the distributor, then crank the engine for a specified amount of time letting the fuel pump into a glass or hard plastc bottle and measure how much fuel is pumped over the set period of time.

On later (1988-up) fuel injected 351s, the fuel pressure test port is on the driver's side fuel rail.

A "duiaphragm" prevents DUIs. It blocks the alcohol. grin
