Hi, does anyone out there have a window crank mechanism for sale?.
I dont need the whole mechanism just the arm marked with the red X. as you can see its broken. I`m happy to pay for the complete assembly but the rivet could be ground down or cut so the arm on its own could be posted.
that would be ez to post and not expensive.
Thanks.

We call that assembly a window regulator over on this side of the planet.
I thought I was going to look it up and find the whole thing for cheap, but I guess that's no longer the case nowadays, because I didn't find any manual regulators for '80 and older.
(The power ones for '81 to '96 are easy to find)

cheers Rusty,
wasn`t it Winston Churchill who said `England and America are two Nations divided by a common language`
ha.

Yeah, I saw plenty of `power` ones on Ebay.

I`ll keep checking the ads, someone must be wrecking a van somewhere, I could probably fabricate an arm but I don`t know the length as the broken bit must have been thrown away at some time.

Thanks

Matman you need to expand your search. A g10 is the same as g20. Open the search years of your van, Third generation (1971–1996)

Part # 14040341 driver side manual reg .... Part # 14040342 Passenger side manual reg.

Got this pass side from a chevy dealer here in San Diego.

...or it's in the bottom of the door. LOL

True, but why are the regulators listed as '71-'80 and '81-'96?
Was there some change I'm not aware of?
I thought the doors stayed the same except for that body line that extended across the door in later years, but when I tried to help with this search, they had them split between "early" and "late".
Yours seems to look the same as his, so I have no idea.

Thanks Trykflyr, I really apreciate the help from you guys, unfortunately its not in the bottom of the door, that would have been TOOO EZ.. ha.
I`m going into hosp for a couple of days, meanwhile I gave the reg to a friend who`s great with metal fabrication, he`ll measure the pass side arm and hopefully make a piece to suit and weld it together,
I`ll keep you posted
cheers

Ok, just a quick follow up to my 1980 G10 chevy van drivers door window regulator..
this might be a good fix, has anyone out there got access to a complete regulator and able to measure the length of the part I am missing. If I knew the length from rivet to rivet we could fabricate a part.
plz check the image, hope its clear enough. thanks.
