I've been searching junk yards for a slider to attempt the gullwing conversion on our 91 G20. I've found that all the sliders are 3/4" to 1" wider than the total width on my doors. Will the door require trimming to size? Am I correct on years 77 - 92 being the same body style? Anyone have success on this project?

THanks for any wisdoms

Buy a fiberglass one. They are much lighter to lift, come with all the hardware and you can trim easier if needed (shouldn't be needed). Just make sure when you order its for a side door not rear opening. You can find them on www.customvan.com. Kurk is a great guy and will take good care of you.
